Is Perplexity down?
Live Perplexity status from Perplexity: our own checks, the official status page and user reports.
How we know if Perplexity is down
Every 5 minutes LLM Live sends a real request to the Perplexity and measures whether it answers, how long the first token takes and how fast text streams. Three failed checks in a row mark it as down. We also read Perplexity's official status page every minute. Spikes in user reports on this page raise a warning even before the provider confirms an incident.
Perplexity not working but status is green?
Problems are sometimes limited to one region, account or feature. Try a hard refresh, sign out and in, check your network or VPN, and press “Perplexity isn't working for me” above — if many people do the same, the status changes here first.
